How much does it cost to have my Rifle Sight In in Fort Worth, by FTFW?
Answer- The Professional Rifle Sight-In Service is priced at $30.00 per rifle. AR/Carbines (regardless of caliber with more than one sighting syetem) will have additional charge $20.00 for multiple sighting systems.
(Example: Iron sights & Red dot) This is considered two sighting systems.
How much ammunition do I need to bring?
Answer- Bring one (1) full box of ammunition per rifle. If you have multiple sighting systems on the same rifle, bring extra to complete the task.
How will I know how the rifle preformed during sight-in?
Answer- Each rifle will have a FTFW proof target upon completion. This will show the results of how well the rifle preformed with the ammunition provided.
What type of ammunition should I bring?
Answer- There are several variables here with that question. Some basic and fundamental guideline are listed below in the Recommended Ammunition Selection Chart.
How will I know if there is anything wrong with my rifle?
Answer- FTFW Professional Rifle Sight-In Services provides a 7 point inspection of each rifle. We will 1 Clean the optics, 2 Check proper mounting of optics, 3 Torque check on optics, 4 Torque check on action, 5 Lubrication as needed in key areas, 6 Check for proper bore alignment, 7 Check optics tracking ability. You will also be provided a comprehensive report of the rifles abilities.
If I have a new rifle and want FTFW to mount my new Optics, How does that work?
Answer- The cost to mount your new optics is $15.00 provided you bring everything needed to complete the task. Additional charges could apply if we need rings, bases or both.
If I'm in a hurry to get on the road to my hunting lease, will FTFW sight in my rifle today?
Answer- With this there's no guaranty we can get to it today. We ask you to please plan ahead, we need at least 24-48 hours notice. There's a high probability that other things maybe scheduled ahead of you. That being said we'll do everything we can to accommodate your request.
What if my optics are old and need replacing? Can I purchase optics from FTFW?
Answer- Yes you can. That can be discussed at the time of your appointment in person. We recommend this be done in person to discuss how much you wish to spend. Keep in mind all special orders are pre-pay only.
Can I view the sight-in process with the instructor?
Answer- Unfortunately not. If you want to learn about rifles and precision rifles shooting, it is required to attend training.
Where do I go after my appointment has been made: Answer- You will receive a conformation email confirming your date and drop off time. The location will also be giving as well or you can visit our contact page here on this site.
I want to be able to shoot out past 150 yards. How do I do that?
Answer- If you wish to shoot past 150 yards and harvest with a humane shot, there's several things to consider. 1 are your optics capable of the correct adjusting methods? 2 Is your rifle and ammunition section be adequate? FTFW will advise you if the rifle is suited for this purpose. If it is, we will develop a DOPE chart for you. This chart will not exceed 500 yards and depending on the rifles ability during sight-in, that's when we'll determine if the correct elements exist or not. To prepare a 500 yard chart, requires a $50.00 addition fee added to the sight-in.

Choosing The Right Ammo
All recommendations are depending on bore/barrel twist rates. But, for the most part, these applications will shoot accurately to in some cases above expectations providing above average optics are installed.
